The Chair
Eileen Fry
Currently working at the Multi-Faith Centre at the University of Derby as the Training Co-ordinator, Eileen has almost 15 years of experience in inter faith work. She was involved in research and became Project Manager for the Religions in the UK Directory. She managed the £2 million building project for the Multi-Faith Centre and was the first Director there until 2007.
In her capacity as Director at the Multi-Faith Centre, Eileen became the Secretary for FFEM when it was first established, and was co-opted on to the Board as a Trustee in 2009.
She continues to provide vital support not only to the other Trustees, but also to members and officers and was instrumental in the recruitment and launch process in early 2009.
She is a sports car enthusiast and can be seen driving a diminutive yellow sports car with the roof down!
The Secretary
Ajay Aggarwal
Presently working as a coordinator with Leicester Council of Faiths, Ajay has been involved with a whole host of different dialogue and inter faith community groups. Originally from India, he has extensive experience of grass roots work and many influential contacts.
Before arriving in the UK in 2006, Ajay spent time studying Comparative Religions and Philosophy and has completed his research on ‘Tibetan refugees and their settlement process in India with reference to new socio –economic and political frame work’.
He has a very broad understanding of inter faith work and its impact upon social cohesion, and able to put this theory into practice by working with the Council of faiths.

John Capleton
John has long experience of local government and is a member of Loughborough Borough Council.

Daphne Beale
Trustee already of Human Rights and Equalities Charnwood and joint treasurer of the Loughborough Council of Faiths, Daphne brings to the Forum many years of experience of Inter faith work. She has organised many community led initiatives and events such as ‘One World Week, and has been involved in trips to India working with Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Adivasi people.
She is involved locally with several dialogue and multi faith women’s groups in Loughborough and was one of the founding members of the Forum. As a retired maths teacher, her financial and record keeping skills have been invaluable to the Forum and she continues to provide support to all the officers in this field.
Resham Singh Sandhu MBE DL FRSA
Resham is currently a trustee of Leicester Council of faiths, Voluntary Action Leicester, the Interfaith Network for the UK and vice chair for Leicestershire Inter faith Forum.
He has a wealth of experience with boards of trustees, chairing meetings and involvement with dialogue groups. He has many influential contacts and has been very resourceful for the team so far.
