Leicester is the most ethnically and religiously diverse city in England, and is a colourful and dynamic centre of many cultures, languages, and places of worship.

The Jain Centre in Leicester includes the largest Jain temple in Europe. The city also has a cathedral and many well-attended mosques, temples and gurudwara, as well as churches.

Leicester is a pioneer centre for interfaith dialogue and understanding. Among the many interfaith groups that meet in the city are Leicester Council of Faiths, Leicester Faith Leaders Forum and the Leicestershire Inter Faith Forum.

The Islamic Foundation at Markfield and the St Philip's Centre both in Leicestershire are national centres of excellence in inter-faith understanding and education. For more information about courses and events, click here.

Further afield in Loughborough, a flourishing market town, we have an active Council of Faiths.
